I saw this quote years ago in the conservatory at Wallington (Walled Garden), from an original on the Pincian Hill at Rome :

"When wearied and overwrought by study or affairs of business, repair to these haunts and refresh your mind by a stroll amid the flowers…"

Experimenting with colours is a real joy and if it means I can indulge my love of gardening, gardens and plants at the same time then the delight is all the greater! The resulting images are impressions of flowers and foliage, where macro detail is put to one side, and layers of colour become the theme…
