Songs of the Sea

I have been dabbling fingers and toes

in the magical realms of Printmaking, exploring different techniques and styles, and experimenting with papers and inks, rollers and sponges.

I have been carving lino for the first time since school.

With a combination of linocut work and monoprinting I can lose myself in a whole new happy world of colour, texture, pattern, line, layer and form.

Using my photographs as inspiration, a way of patiently working in layers of ink is slowing evolving, and Hebridean Songs of the Sea are coming to life.
