the Gallery Within... is a joint venture between myself and Peter Leeming, which started in October 2011. We now occupy a space on the first floor of the Joe Cornish Galleries in Northallerton, having moved from two rooms on the second floor in early February 2013.

tGW is open whenever Joe Cornish Galleries are open - Monday to Saturday 10 am to 5pm.

While Peter and I aim to spend as much time as we can at the Gallery, there will be some days when we will not be around, so if you are making a special journey to see us, please contact us through our websites first.

Our Limited Edition prints are available at tGW as framed and mounted prints, together with our ever changing range of Greetings Cards, and Silver Art Clay Jewellery.

In autumn 2012 tGW hosted Hebridean, an exhibition of contemporary fine art photography. We were delighted to be joined in this celebration of the Hebrides by Steve Gosling, Paul Harris, Mark Banks and Ian Paterson, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many visitors who shared our love of all things Hebridean.

My range of silver jewellery is made from Art Clay, a recycled product produced in Japan. The silver comes from a variety of sources, including film stock and negatives. Art Clay Silver is pure silver powder combined with non-toxic binders and water. Once fired it becomes 99.9% fine silver. In contrast, sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver and other metals, particularly copper. As a result fine silver is softer than sterling silver, and a little less prone to tarnish.

I have a small range of earrings, pendants and beads on display and for sale at tGW. Please contact me if you would like to discuss the purchase of some jewellery.

In addition to Peter's photography workshops and lectures, we now offer Photo Critique sessions at the Gallery Within, providing positive constructive advice in a friendly and informal setting.
